Hey everyone its been a minute since I have posted but I have been busy in the studio!

I took a break from doing bootleg remixes to work on a few official remixes that will be out soon, my favorite so far is the track I did for Betatraxx and I will have more info on the release date for that track soon!

On top of those remixes I have been working on some originals, I have about 3-5 tracks that I will be putting out as an EP or separate, I haven’t decided yet.

I am doing a show tomorrow here in Phoenix put on by our friends from The Get Downnn, Night Thieves, Sir Zachary and The Funky Tweeter. All these dudes are doing awesome things in Phoenix and I am stoked to be a part of it all! More updates about what we have planned for Arizona coming soon!

Also wanna take some time to post some of the recent reviews we have been getting and say THANKS to everyone that has been reviewing/listening to the tracks…I think in the past two weeks we have been all over the top ten on Hypem quite a few times!

We just did a quick remix of Deadmau5-Some chords and I couldn’t beleive it but the Mau5 himself thought it sounded good! The little kid in me almost passed out!

This week has been a busy one for LightsoverLA, so sorry for not keeping up with our current “release a new remix every week” pattern!

We played our first DJ/Live whatever you wanna call it gig on Saturday in Santa Monica, it was different to say the least. I’ll just say I think our music was a little “heavy” for the show.

But we got to hang out with the GottaDanceDirty crew and those dudes are some of the coolest dudes we have met so far. We have future plans with those dudes so stay tuned.

We are currently in the process of booking more dates and figuring out how exactly we want to play them…We come from a live background and we want to bring that to LightsoverLA in every way we can. The DJ thing is cool and while we will definitely do DJ type gigs, it isn’t our style.

That brings me to exactly what is our style? We have been asked that a lot lately, basically we listen to all types of music and while I don’t want to give the cliche “we don’t consider ourselves a part of a genre” answer I would just say we are electronic music.

LightsoverLA has original tracks in the works that range from electro house to indie dance all the way to drum and bass, basically we are gonna release what we want and whatever “genre” it falls into who cares…its 2010 and I think the genre barrier has been more then torn down at this point.
